—‍ ‍ ABOUT KIRI

I've been in business a long time. And I've learned that sometimes, you just need someone in your corner.

I started my career in the corporate world at seventeen and, over more than thirty years, have worked across some pretty big business environments.

I've managed multi-million-dollar budgets, led sales teams, consistently exceeded budgets and targets, and worked as a General Manager responsible for the bigger picture — people, performance, customers, operations and results.

I also ran a sales team for one of the world's largest shipping companies, where delivering results mattered, but so did the relationships behind those results. That's something I've always cared about. People. Solving problems. Taking something complicated and making it simpler.

Sometimes it's about having someone who can sit beside you and say, "Okay. Let's work this out."

"

And then I went and did it myself.

I stepped outside the corporate world and started building my own businesses, including my own online platform — which gave me an entirely different perspective. When it's your business, you are everything. I've managed big budgets and big teams. I've also had to figure things out myself, from scratch. That's where Renew comes from.

— WHAT I ACTUALLY DO

I don't believe you should have to become an expert in everything just because you own a business.

Maybe you need your systems sorted. Maybe your admin is a mess. Maybe you've got an idea but don't know where to start. Maybe your website needs rebuilding entirely. Maybe you've heard everyone talking about AI and have no idea where it fits into your business. Or maybe you've simply been staring at the same problem for months.

That's where I come in. I bring years of commercial experience, practical problem-solving, creativity and a very human approach to business.

Sometimes you need the big-picture thinking. Sometimes you need someone to build the spreadsheet. And sometimes you just need someone to tell you: you're not stuck. Let's take the next step.

"

A little more than business

Alongside my business experience, I've also worked in and studied holistic wellness for the past 13 years. For clients who are drawn to that approach, I offer a complementary space to slow down, reflect and explore what may be contributing to feeling stuck or out of alignment.

It's another layer of support — not a replacement for practical action, but something that can sit alongside it. Because business is run by people, and people are never just spreadsheets, strategies and numbers.

— MY EXPERIENCE

Thirty years, in detail

● Sales Manager, Maersk (NZ)

Twelve years in sales leadership across Maersk and the companies it acquired — the largest shipping company in the world — leading a team of eight and managing New Zealand's largest general cargo customer accounts, consistently exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue targets and achieved 150%+ of bonus targets.

● General Manager, Suna Pilates & Wellbeing

Ten years leading up to fifteen staff, a full rebrand, and personally led the switch to a new business platform (GymMaster). Helped keep every staff member employed through Covid, and prepared the business for a profitable sale.

● Day Spa & Reception Manager, The Lost Spring

Led an award-winning day spa team of 12 therapists in a small, seasonal holiday town, developing sales and upselling strategies to keep the business thriving year-round, and coaching front-of-house staff in sales and luxury service.

● Reception Manager, Solscape, Raglan

Ran a ten-acre eco-resort after just three weeks of training, managing a rotating ten-person volunteer programme, finding efficiencies and documenting every process.

● Business Manager, Kinesiology with Susie - current

Remote business management for 3 years, including helping to develop and fill kinesiology certification courses, and coordinating an ongoing global client base.

● Co-Founder, LuminAwa - current

I found and taught myself the Kajabi platform, then personally built the website, led the design, branding, social media, Google presence and blog — and worked closely with Susie on writing and uploading the content. My co-founder and I did every part of it ourselves.

● Also along the way

International sales and business development in the global wine industry, including travel across the world with it; teaching English in Italy for two years; teaching myself website platforms, content and design, had my own kinesiology clients; and worked front of house.

I have built and turned around real businesses across very different industries. That combination is genuinely rare — and it's exactly what I bring to yours.

Why I actually do this

If you're wondering what connects thirty years of corporate sales, management, wellness, digital work, hospitality and accommodation — it's this: I love helping people. Not as a tagline, but as the actual thread running through every job and everything I've ever done.
